RACE & EVENT SCHEDULE
(races are on TUESDAY evenings)

We ask that every racing club member work or direct at least 1 race.  Use the "Register" button below sign up as a Race Director or Race Volunteer / worker.  Each volunteer credit is worth 10 points toward your overall season score.  Also, to be eligible for any end-of-season awards you must have at least 10 volunteer points.

The distance of each race is at the discretion of the individual race director and can change at race time.

    2026 Road: Event 1: Otsego Park Time Trial 

    A Race: 9.12 miles 
    B Race: 9.12 miles 
    C Race: 9.12 miles 

    Venue Details: Parking and bathrooms are available at the Otsego Park shelter. The start of the race is just south of W. River Rd and Otsego Pike (235). The route goes south on Otsego Pike with a right turn on Kellogg, and then a final turn onto W River Road. The finish is about 150m shy of Otsego Park.

    Registration Details:
    • Registration closes at 5:45 pm on race day.
    • Try to arrive at the venue start by 5:45 pm on race day to be correctly placed in the start list.  
    • The start list will be published at 6:00 pm on race day.  The first racer will leave the start area at 6:30 pm. 
    • The start interval will be either 1 minute or 30 seconds, depending on conditions and the number of racers who register.

    2026 Road: Event 2: Scotch Ridge Circuit Race 

    A Race: 4 laps (20.44 miles) 
    B Race: 3 laps (15.33 miles) 
    C Race: 3 laps (15.33 miles) 

    Venue Details: The Scotch Ridge course is actually located in the quiet village of New Rochester, which is situated along the lazy banks of the Portage River a couple of miles south of Scotch Ridge on SR199. New Rochester is easily found at the northeast corner of US 6 and SR 199. Parking and registration are located at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. No restrooms or water available.

    Venue Details: This area of Owens Community College is split by Tracy Road, and one course is located on the east side of Tracy Road while the other course is located on the west side of the road. The east side is referred to as the Center for Emergency Preparedness (CEP) and it is the longer, tighter course with ten turns. The west side is called the Driving Pad (DP), and it is the shorter, faster, wide turn venue. Both courses are closed to traffic.  Restrooms and water available.

    Venue Details: Oak Openings Industrial Park or "OOIP" was the original name of this venue when the Wheelmen began using it in the 1970's. Today, the actual name of the industrial park is Westwind Business Center. Parking is available at OCP, a small manufacturing company. Restroom but no water available at the venue.

    Venue Details: This venue is employed for the Club's long time trials, and it is named after the state park at which it begins. The boat launch and dock area of Mary Jane Thurstin State Park can be found just inside Henry County just past the western edge of Grand Rapids. Parking for the time trial is at the marina area of the park, and the entrance for such is located west of the park's main entrance.  Restrooms and water available.

    A Race: 4 laps (24.36 miles) 
    B Race: 3 laps (18.27 miles)

    Venue Details: The Woodville course is located just inside Sandusky County just past US 23. The race begins along a 0.8 mile scenic segment of Fort Findlay Road as it follows the Portage River east. From Perrysburg take US 20 east to the junction of US 23. Turn south on US 23 and continue until the highway crosses the bridge over the Portage River [this bridge is located less than one-half mile south of the intersection of SR 105]. Turn left on Fort Findlay Road and park about one-quarter mile east of US 23. Park only on the north side of the road.  No restrooms or water available.

    Venue Details: Toledo Speedway is a half-mile paved oval racetrack located in Toledo. MVW use this venue to host an omnium once per season.  Restroom but no water available.
